Course Coordinator and Lecturer

In this role I am responsible for the research and development of the subject's syllabus, plan lectures and reading materials. The course is based on a critical and analytical discussion of globalisation and its effects.
I am responsible for:
· Uploading and updating materials to the subject's Canvas page for students and teachers including Subject Outlines, PowerPoints and classes in short video format.
· Informing other staff, including the Program Manager, of any changes in materials.
· Creating assignments and other tasks on Canvas and making sure these materials strongly relate to the SLOs, CILOs and other objectives required by UTS.
· Setting up marking moderation meetings and ensuring marks are entered to the University's marking system in a timely manner.
· Ensuring all teaching activities are staffed.
· Examining and keeping up with the latest International and Global Studies scholarship.
· Liaising with Library staff to ensure set and recommended materials are available.
· Adding all materials to the course's LSM site.
· Ensuring activities are structured to aid students' learning development using tasks that can be easily accessed during and after class.
· Produce clear feedback and marking benchmarks to facilitate students furthering their knowledge and understanding of subject materials.
· Creating reflective activities to consolidate students’ understanding.
· Designing asynchronous self-learning activities using Discussion Boards, Canvas pages and Padlets.
UTS College
International Perspectives - Course Coordinator and Lecturer
· Conduct and devise lecture materials as required by the Foundations curriculum.
· Manage a minimum of two staff with a student body of over 100 students across national boundaries.
· Use excellent communication and organisation skills to design lectures.
· Keep up with new academic developments in the field of International Studies and tertiary education delivery to continue with UTS College and UTS International standing as education providers.
· Deliver lectures designed by subject coordinators.
· Manage students' participation and enquiries during and outside class time.
· Evaluate students written assignments and presentations complying with the SLOs and PLOs.
· Manage staff marking moderation meetings and structure discussions to ensure cohesiveness in teaching and assessing.
· Provide clear and concise written and verbal feedback considering the cultural diversity of UTS College's student cohort.
· Encourage student participation through tools such as Padlet and Canvas

· Develop materials in the subject’s LMS (Canvas) to a high level of academic quality using the latest conventions of LX design that rooted in a human-centered and goal-oriented strategies.
