Curriculum Development (research, design and writing)



UTS College - Teaching and Learning Across Cultures and Foundations of Global Perspectives


· Gather and research materials that meet standards of UTS College.

· Create learning materials to engage students on the course's subject.

· Research and profound understanding of the latest and most relevant information and

academic research around the topics of Intercultural Communication, Education,

Globalisation and Social Justice.

· Liaise with other subject experts to gather materials for the course.

· Implement the Integrated Learning Model as a framework to include independent

learning tasks, pre-class activities and short viewing materials to incorporate synchronous

and asynchronous tasks to support students.


Learning Design

· Deliver activities using H5P, Articulate360 and Articulate Rise for training purposes.

· Evaluate and use training materials provided by the stakeholder.

their academic level.

· Research materials relevant to topics developed as part of the Grad Cert.

· Ensure materials are pitch to the correct level of teaching/learning (Cert IV).

· Uploading and updating materials to the subject's Canvas page for students and teachers including Subject Outlines, PowerPoints and classes in short video format.

· Informing other staff, including the Program Manager, of any changes in materials.

· Creating assignments and other tasks on Canvas and making sure these materials strongly relate to the SLOs, CILOs and other objectives required by UTS.

· Setting up marking moderation meetings and ensuring marks are entered to the University's marking system in a timely manner.

· Ensuring all teaching activities are staffed.

· Examining and keeping up with the latest International and Global Studies scholarship.

· Liaising with Library staff to ensure set and recommended materials are available.

· Adding all materials to the course's LSM site.

· Ensuring activities are structured to aid students' learning development using tasks that can be easily accessed during and after class.

· Produce clear feedback and marking benchmarks to facilitate students furthering their knowledge and understanding of subject materials.

· Creating reflective activities to consolidate students’ understanding.

· Designing asynchronous self-learning activities using Discussion Boards, Canvas pages and Padlets.

· Develop materials in the subject’s LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Review) to a high level of academic quality using the latest conventions of LX design that rooted in a human-centered and goal-oriented strategies.
